The size of the hart is equivalent to a size of a car, while its blood vessels are so wide you could swim through them! Now let’s talk about the whole size of this giant. So, there are 88 individuals longer than 98 feet, and including one up to 108 feet! The weigh varies depending on the location, so it can go from 167,000 to amazing 260,000 pounds!
Where does a blue whale live?
This giant occurs in all of world’s oceans, just like the sharks, dolphins and jellyfishes. The only place you can’t see it is the Arctic. Blue whales usually swim alone, or in groups of two to four. Yet, in areas where are plenty of food can be up to 60 of them!

The biggest paradox of this unbelievable animal is its diet. Despite the gigantic size, it feeds on tiny shrimp-like crustaceans called krill. But the quantity is amazing: 40 million each day! Moreover, it has no teeth. Our giant has baleen, a fibrous material used to filter its food.
Whales reach sexual maturity at about 10 years. Females give birth every two to three years, depending on body condition and lactation period. After 10 or 11 months, the baby is born, weighing “only” around 5000 pounds, with a length of 23 feet. Calf is growing rapidly, adding to its weigh around 180 pounds each day!
To communicate with each other, blue whales will produce extremely loud vocal sounds. Naturally, as the biggest animals on earth, they are also the loudest one, since the sound can travel underwater for hundreds of miles!
